For those not familiar with Alfords Point it is a southern Sydney suburb that is located around 30 kilometres from the Sydney CBD and is a part of the famous Sutherland Shire. Alfords Point was officially formed in 1906 and then reached as far as Menai. However, in 1922 a decision was made to reclaim some land, so adjustments were made to the Alfords Point boundries. This land was previously part of the Municipality of Hurstville and as most of us know is now, as mentioned, a part of the Sutherland Shire.
